Deadly shooting of 7-year-old boy: Fayetteville police charge woman as accessory after the fact

According to Fayetteville detectives, investigators arrested 19-year-old Sierra Chambers and charged her with felony accessory after the fact in connection to the June 7 death of Zion Gibbs.

Police officers arrested a woman Thursday who they say is connected to the murder of a 7-year-old over the summer in Fayetteville.

According to Fayetteville detectives, investigators arrested 19-year-old Sierra Chambers and charged her with felony accessory after the fact in connection to the death of Zion Gibbs.

It is unclear how Chambers is connected to Gibbs' death and police said more information would be released as it become available.

Authorities are holding Chambers at the Cumberland County Jail on a secured bond of $100,000.
